What else can Italians "do"? Ask Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and a host of painters and sculptors (particularly Renaissance). France can just not compete here, not even a little!
Italian cuisine is also a thing apart (and relies less on fatty, creamy sauces than the French — although French cooking is also heavenly). And where do you think espresso and cappuccino came from!?!
