How can I convince my mom to let me wear them tomorrow?
My mom is taking me to the Timberland outlet in Smithfield today to buy me some Timberland Field Boots. She says that they are my Christmas gift, but is there any way that I can convince her to let me wear them tomorrow?
Keep bugging her about them and asking her if you can wear them. or you can just wait.
Energy saving gifts for Dad?
For Christmas, I want to buy my dad something cool, not too expensive, and energy-saving! My dad works hard and is very frugal, and I was wondering what kind of things I could buy that would reduce the amount of energy my family uses! Are there certain outlets or extension cords that completely cut the current when the appliances are on? Any money-saving ideas would be much appreciated! Happy holiday!!!

Hope this help.
I can’t take it anymore, someone please help me!!?
What am I supposed to do with a soul full of passion and no outlet. I have no talent for arts and music, no gift for anything. I am surrounded on all sides by a palpable passion for life and yet I am stuck in a place where I can do nothing about it. It is sheer torture. Someone please help me!
Everyone has a gift for something. Trust me! I used to think I wasn’t good at anything.
Here’s what you can do if you think you have no talents:
Look for unique hobbies. Maybe your good at something no one else is good at!
Try instruments. Try many and maybe you’ll find something you like.
There are so many sports out there. I’m sure something will come up that you like. If you like something, but aren’t good at it, you should still play it! Have fun. Find something that is fun to you!
Have you ever tried writing stories? If you have a passion for life, you can express it through writing! I write all the time. I’m not too good, but I can express myself in a way completely my own!
Good luck! Look into something!
How do I unblock an e-mail address I previously blocked, and now am getting no messages from?
I must have inadvertantly marked a communication from Coldwater Creek (outlet and retail clothing stores) as spam, as I have re signed up several times at the outlet stores to get therir sales and have to date not gotten any. I used to get messages every week from them. Also, My son sent me an e-mail gift certificate for Christmas from them, and I have not yet received it.
Check your Bulk folder - any time you mark a message as spam, future messages will be redirected to that folder (unless, of course, your Yahoo settings delete all spam instead of sending it to the Bulk folder - from your main mail screen go to Options (near the top right), then to Spam Protection (first column) to see what your settings are). Hopefully something is there. If you find a message from Coldwater Creek, open it and click on Not Spam near the top of the message. It may also help to add a filter (temporarily anyway) so that all emails from their address will be routed to your Inbox (from Options, go to Filters in the middle column to set that up).
If you don’t find it, you may have to go to the Coldwater Creek website and look for a customer support link to talk to someone about your missing gift certificate. Your son may also have a confirmation number or receipt that may help you in finding it.
Hi! Im from Philippines, where can i buy new adaptor for Wii, i accidentally plug my 110 volts adaptor in 220?
my Wii is from california, my uncle gave it to me as a gift,it has an input power of 110 volts, but i accidentally plug it in a 220 volts outlet..and im trying to fing a new adaptor now…
I don’t think the adapter is the thing you have to worry about. I think your Wii might be fried.
www.nintendo. com should have the adapter that you need. Also try your local electronic store that sells a Wii and maybe it will have it.
Anyone know of any Disney outlets in Singapore where i can buy an Eeyore stuffed toy?
Want a big sized Eeyore stuffed toy, not those palm sized type. Must be a genuine Disney doll. If you know of any gift shops that got sell them please give me the location of the shop. Thanks
There isn’t any Disney merchandise stores in Singapore. You may want to find out distributors in major shopping malls.
ankle pain after contract walking for about 30 minutes?
I sprained my right ankle about 2 months ago. My ankle was all swollen and was purple then later yellowish color. I did the RICE thing but I didn’t go to the doctor.
So, since it is the holiday season, I have been out a lot to the malls and outlets buying gifts and notice that after about 30 minutes of walking, I started to have pain in my right ankle. At the end of the day, I would massage my ankle, and the next day I would good as new. But if I started walking again for more than 30 minutes, the pain would come back. I remembered I sprained my ankle 6 years ago and after 1 month I didn’t have any more pain. Should I go to the doctor for x-ray just to be on the safe side?
i had a similar situation, badly sprained my ankle, but didn’t want to get it seen to so just RICEd it up and waited until it was bearable to walk on, it used to give me quite a bit of stick and i have sprained it countless times since, I picked up another, more serious injury to my knee and when i was doing some of the stuff to regain control of my knee the ankle injury was noticed by my physio, and so he has given me a programme to follow and it feels alot better now
So my advice is to go to a physio and get a strengthening regime for it! Good Luck
SPECIFIC or STALE Christmas-gifting?
My Step-mother is introducing a "different-gifting idea" for the upcoming Christmas season.
%This being her First Christmas holiday as part of my family, we are allowing her to introduce HER WAY into the family traditions so we can begin practising "other ways" than our usual method.
Last week, each of us (a total of 14, including her family-pack) drew names; each drawing one name to buy A SPECIFIC GIFT for that person.
We (the new family) are asked to purchase gifts for "our chosen person."
I have chosen RITA. This Rita is a business secretary by profession, a mother by family and is a distant(?) Neice to my Step-mother.
I am almost at my wits end trying to scour the local marketplace for "appropriate" gift items for Rita.
I know NOTHING about her!
%Should I opt to buy an area-wide Gift Certificate (many local merchants allow only THIER merchant G.C’s to use inside their retail outlet) or should I opt to gift with stale cash? Rita is 50 y.o.
$20.00 is the limit.
Thanks.
It is hard to buy for someone you don’t know well. You can ask around in the family, you may have to leak a bit to get the info even if it is a secret so that you do it right. Then you will have an idea what to get them based on their personal interests, not just their role in the family or their job.
There are small items that are high quality that almost anyone can appreciate. A nice pen for example. Everyone likes a good quality pen. Or a computer flash drive…many are on sale right now, you should be able to get at least a 256M one if not a 1G. She can use it for moving from machine to machine at work, or she can use it for music storage or photos. Other ideas, some pretty stationery or blank inside personal note cards to send. Some postage stamps, there are pretty ones this time of year.
Things like this are very personal, yet universal because everyone uses this kind of stuff.
You can also go with a specialty shop gift card where there are a lot of different things to pick…like a Christmas shop or a candle shop or bath goodie store. Then the person can get something you intended them to have (for the most part) but pick something that suits them perfectly.

Can you recommend me shopping malls in Singapore?
I want to shop for gifts, preferably a wide variety of them like toys, figurines, art and crafts outlets. Thanks ^^
P.s. btw, i live in Bishan. Hopefully i dont hav to travel long to d shopping mall..
Hi
1. for toys, check out Toys R Us in Suntec City - MRT from Bishan to City Hall. It’s a toy lovers’ haven.
2. Art & craft? For ethnic stuff, try the side streets in Little India and Kampong Glam.
3. Or try Mustafa Centre (Syed Alwi Road) for all the stuff you mentioned.
