Do outlet stores sell the latest styles?
I went to the Desert Hills Premium Outlet Stores in Cabazon and I went to the True Religion store. So i bought a pair of jeans but when i went to the TR website, i couldn’t find the jeans online.
So are the jeans I bought an old style?
I got the Julie Dark Pony Express Skinny
they were on sale
The only reason they were in the outlet mall was because they couldn’t sell them in the True Religion stores. Or, they went out of style and were sent to the outlets to make room for new inventory. So yes, they were an old style. Most outlet stores sell only outdated styles.
Can you recommend me shopping malls in Singapore?
I want to shop for gifts, preferably a wide variety of them like toys, figurines, art and crafts outlets. Thanks ^^
P.s. btw, i live in Bishan. Hopefully i dont hav to travel long to d shopping mall..
Hi
1. for toys, check out Toys R Us in Suntec City - MRT from Bishan to City Hall. It’s a toy lovers’ haven.
2. Art & craft? For ethnic stuff, try the side streets in Little India and Kampong Glam.
3. Or try Mustafa Centre (Syed Alwi Road) for all the stuff you mentioned.

Prices: not impressive. But if you’re bored with your local mall, it’s a good alternative when the weather’s nice.
How should I deliver Christmas gifts to the nursery teachers?
This is my first Christmas in UK and I would like to express my thanks to the nursery teachers of my child. However I am not sure how and when I should give the gifts. Should I give them in front of other kids and teachers? Or Should I leave them under the X-mas tree with nametags?
All the people seem to be busy shopping for Christmas but nobody tells me about the details of gift-giving culture.
Thank you very much in advance!
That’s sweet of you to think of the teachers, many people don’t. You wouldnt have to give them all a gift, if your child has one teacher in particular, just give them something. Or buy a communal gift for all the staff,eg. chocolates or wine. The staff will probably put all the communal gifts together then split them up between them fairly. There is no set way of giving a gift, you could give it to the staff in the last week before christmas, or on the last day. You can give it yourself or have your child hand it over. Also, you wouldn’t be expected to spend a lot of money, a few pounds would suffice.
Good luck
Do you try to aid small business and take down Wal Mart and big business?
Whenever I go out to eat or whatever, I will ALWAYS try to go to a Mom and Pop restaurant. They are much better quality, friendlier, and have better and HEALTHIER foods unlike McDonalds.
I never shop at WalMart. Ever. You will literally have to coercively force me to go. I go to smaller outlets like Kmart, JCPenney, etc. I go to small gift shops, family owned bookstores, and family owned dealerships and stuff.
We need to save Mom and Pop businesses from being eaten up by Wal Mart and Co.!!!
Plus, try to buy things in America, not China.
Do you guys try to go to Mom and Pop businesses, and buy things made in AMERICA?
I’m a Paleocon concerned about small town America.
BTW, does anyone have any ideas of how to aid small business and keep B.B. from having an overwhelming monopoly on the economy? I say give more incentives to small business. Big Business should be broken up more. Our trust laws aren’t enough.
I always support the local store if I remember. I like WalMart though, that place rules. Every country makes good products, and I’m sure every country makes some krap to. I would not buy tools from China but I would buy a clever and an iron skillet from there, all depends what you buy.
Recently Times of India launched India Poised campaign ;i wuld like to ask all the members out there what?
is useOF IT .WHAT IS THE USE OF ASKING THE YOUTH OF INDIA TO GATHER AT A PLACE AND SHOW HOW MUCH they
LOVE their COUNTRY.WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HYPE ABUT REPUBLIC DAY ON JAN-26.
MY REASON FOR ASKING SUCH A QUESTION IS THAT ON JAN-26 I SAW MOST OF SHOPPING OUTLETS GIFTED IT’S CUSTOMERS A MODEL OF NATIONAL FLAG WISHING THEM HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY AND THE CUSTOMERS HAPPILY ACCEPTED IT BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY I NOTICED THAT MOST THOSE FLAG MODELS WERE SPILLED ON THE ROADS SEARCHING FOR IT’S ULTIMATE DESTINATION.WHEN I SAW SUCH FATE OF OUR NATIONAL FLAG MY INNER SELF PINCHED ME I WAS FORCED TO ASK A QUESTION FROM ALL MEMBERS.ISN’T IT OUR DUTY TO RESPECT OUR NATIONAL FLAG AS A PART OF FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES IF WE THORUGHLY ENJOYS OUR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS PROVIDED BY THE CONSTITUTION INDIA .WHO IS TO BE BLAMED FOR THE INSULT OF OUR NATIONAL FLAG ?THE SHOPKEEPERS WHO WANTS TO ENCASH EACH AND EVERY BUSINEES OPPURTUNITY OF THE CITIZENS OF INDIA WHO IN RACE PROGRESS HAVE FORGOTTEN THERE FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES
only we are responsible for these kind of events! but we can correct these type of mistakes by ……say suggest a painting compitition or human telent show or etc. to the people related with the event…….but to remember nation and gattherings are good for national unity, civil decency and culture of our country too!
What are some good homeade gift ideas? (Only have a small amount of money to work with for Christmas gifts)?
I like to give homemade sweet breads for Christmas. They are not near as sweet as all those cookies and candies everyone is pigging out on over the holidays, and your recipient can have a slice or two for breakfast! They are also pretty darn easy to make. You can buy inexpensive miniture foil baking pans at Walmart/K-Mart/Target/etc. So your gifts will look pretty without all that extra hoopla. And you can give out two/three mini loaves of different kinds. Or one large loaf, as you choose. Another positive thing about the breads…they freeze and thaw very easily and taste just as good after frozen! Especially if you wrap them in cellophane. So your friends/family can enjoy them after the holidays if they are currently running on a sugar overload!! You can find easy recipes on-line for banana bread, date bread, lemon-poppy seed bread, pumpkin bread, ginger bread, walnut bread, orange marmelade bread….the list goes on and on. The ingredients are usually pretty inexpensive, and if you really want to go all out, you could include a small tub of homemade honey-butter. (One stick of real butter warmed to room temperature whipped together with 2 tbsp. honey.) A real impressive, easy to make gift!! And if you have a lot of gifts to give, you can do a lot of little mini-loaves at once!! Hope this helps!!
If you wanted to set up a corner shop, fast food outlet or a taxi company could you in the UK?
And not hire illegals to compete with all the ‘businesses’ who currently do?
Funny how all those businesses employ people of the same race, I wonder what Trevor Phillips from the EHRC would have to say about that.
Bugger all?
